It all started for Sally Raynes and James Bamber, the co-founders of Wacky Nation with an impromptu trip to the `World Mountain Bike Bog Snorkelling Championships’ in 2007. After the sheer entertainment and fun nature of this event they were hooked and began a passionate quest to take part in hundreds of wacky contests around the UK, gaining world championship medals in snail racing and pantomime horse and subsequently publishing a wacky events guidebook. More crucially Sally, already a very successful music festival and event director, quickly identified a niche market for expectation-shattering experiences and events.
