The Cheese & Chilli Festival were expanding to two new locations and wanted an event to use to advertise their festival which would capture the imagination of the media and attendees.
The Chilli Chunkin’ Challenge was devised with competitors attempting to score 50 points and win a book by chucking the six real chillies into a frying pan. The nearest pans scored 10 points whilst the tantalising furthest pan scored the full 50 points.
The contest proved really popular. In Basingstoke there was only one ten minute pause in the entire day. There were occasions in both locations when several people were queuing to take their turn and many people returned for a second turn or brought over friends and relatives to have a go.
“Wacky Nation offered a unique service which was tailor made to our event. We were really pleased with the service and the outcome and it certainly added value.”
