GM Coachwork Ltd were looking to increase their brand awareness and engage with new and existing consumers in the disability marketplace by offering a fun event for all UK wheelchair participants, their friends, family and carers.

 

The UK Wheelchair Challenge was hosted by Toby Anstiss and Emma Scott at the South West Disability Show. The sporty event aimed to encourage wheelchair users to take part in a sports endurance challenge and raise money for their favourite disabled charities. It was made up of two different ability levels to offer something for everyone.

The 1KM WHEELCHAIR CHALLENGE was just about taking part.

The 3KM WHEELCHAIR CHALLENGE, was designed to be much more challenging for those disabled sportsmen and women who had suitably trained for the event.

Guest speakers and a range of free workshops conducted by industry professionals were also available throughout the day.

 

The event was really embraced by the disabled community and promoted by disabled charities and Motability throughout the UK. More than a hundred competitors took part throughout the day and GM Coachworks are now thinking of running this as an annual event.
